Jess Erion

Jess is a  professor, writer, game designer, and business owner focused on subversive and thoughtful storytelling through interactive media. After completing a BA in English at Harvard University, they completed an MFA at the NYU Game Center and a fellowship with SUNY Buffalo’s Palah Light Lab.  

Currently, Jess is working as a visiting assistant professor of game design at Hampshire College. They also led narrative development on various projects for clients like Carnegie Hall and Studio Chyr. Jess recently worked with Red Thread Games on their action adventure title, Dustborn, and continues to work with them on Hello Sunshine and further unannounced projects.

While Jess has spent many years doing editorial work, they have also consistently worked in community service roles aiming to provide support and resources to students of color and unhoused individuals in the Boston area.

Outside of work, you’ll find Jess reading speculative fiction, watching baseabll, and playing bass guitar.
